Happy Friday, Backers!
As you may have seen over on social media, we are currently hard at work on production of MST3K: The RiffTrax Experiments. While we know you're all excited and eager to see footage from these episodes, it will be a while until we can show you the final product. But in the meantime, we wanted to give you a little peek into the first, and likely one of the most important sets, of this entire project.
Week 1 of production is now in the books!
This first week of shooting was focused on everything taking place on the bridge of the SOL: including host segments, Mike and the Bots chatting with the Mads, and even a few surprises that we're not yet ready to discuss.
In honor of that, we are pleased as Punch to present to you, dear Kickstarter backers, the NEW, fully built and operational, Satellite of Love bridge!
Our on-set documentarian David S. was also filming video the entire time. Here's something our editor Casey June cut together showing some of the most interesting bits of the process:
Some of us on the RiffTrax team visited the set this week and can confirm that the hard work is frequently peppered with lots and lots of laughter. The energy among the cast and crew is very high, and it's clear that everyone involved is having a blast bringing this show to life.

In the meantime, we'll continue to give Kickstarter backers first looks every step of the way throughout the entire process. We can't wait to show you more in the coming weeks! Stay tuned, and thanks again for your support — none of this would have been possible without you!
BackerKit Surveys getting locked soon!
We are planning to start locking BackerKit Surveys for those who have completed theirs. With the deadline approaching on May 31st, we wanted to allow enough time to make sure you're all happy with your selected rewards. If you haven't received your survey, you can locate it here: https://rifftraxmst3k.backerkit.com
Please make sure you can receive emails from BackerKit by adding [email protected] (yes, that's "s.backerkit.com") to your trusted senders list.
Once we start the Locking process, backers will have 48 hours to make any changes. After that, orders will lock, and we will begin to charge cards. If your payment fails, you'll be notified so you can fix it. Of course, if you do need to make any changes after that, please send BackerKit support a message here. (We won't lock Addresses for shipping until later this year! So you'll have time to confirm your shipping address as we get closer to fulfilling physical rewards.)

Production Start Time Reveal!

Hey folks!
We're stopping by with a big update regarding the production of MST3K: The RiffTrax Experiments. You all have been waiting for these episodes and we're excited to say the wait is getting closer to being over: the first day of shooting for The RiffTrax Experiments is going to be Monday, May 11th. We cannot tell you how excited we are to get the old gang back together and put on the ole Cowtown Puppet show for four more episodes. The not-too-distant future is about to be really not-too-distant. Stay tuned for more photos, videos and other goodies from behind the scenes once production begins in earnest.
Launch Crew Shirts Ship Next Week
Since production is about to start, our Crew is going to need their Launch Shirts ASAP. If you were one of the folks who pre-ordered the Launch Crew T-Shirt, you'll be pleased to hear they're going to start shipping next week! You should receive an email notification once they've shipped. Keep in mind tracking info might take a day or two to update as your parcel moves through the system. Thanks for supporting this exciting production and being part of the Launch Crew.
Fill Out Your Surveys Please!
Surveys are out! Just over half of you have already filled them out, but that does mean there's about 10,000 of you who haven't yet. The deadline is May 31, but the sooner we have all surveys completed and locked, the sooner we can start making those amazing rewards, including shirts, bumper stickers, window clings, and your Backer Club Cards!
If you run into any issues in the process, or if you did not receive your survey link by email, please contact BackerKit support through the "Need Help?" link at the top of your survey page on BackerKit.

Happy Friday, Folks! Kevin Murphy is here with a quick little update to give you an update on the new Satellite of Love we'll be using for the RiffTrax Experiments.
This is still a work in progress, but it's coming together great! We can't wait to see the finalized set in the not-too-distant future.
Speaking of not-too-distant AND the future...
Surveys Are fully rolling out Next Monday (A.D.)!
We've been working very hard behind the scenes to make the survey process as smooth as possible. Yesterday (Thursday, April 23) we sent a "smoke test" to 5% of our backers from each reward level. Not a huge amount but enough for us to collect valuable data. So far, about half of those backers have responded!
So we are going to let the smoke test continue through the weekend, and then begin rolling surveys out to the remaining 95% of you this coming Monday, April 27. This is to ensure all hands are on deck to assist backers with any issues they may have that weren't part of the smoke test: email mismatches, pledge level adjustments, etc.
We'll also send a follow-up direct message to the folks who used Apple Private Relay to sign into Kickstarter, as they will need to update their info at BackerKit — we just won't be able to do that until all surveys have been sent for the first time. But don't worry - we're all over this like cheese on a movie, and we'll make sure everyone's surveys are accessible.

Hello everyone, and welcome to another update on pre-production for MST3K: The RiffTrax Experiments!
Our intent is to keep you all apprised of everything going on with these episodes. And while there isn't a TON to report on right now — this is a pre-production update, after all! — this Kickstarter is your hub for information, so we can keep everyone who contributed updated throughout this entire journey.
And today, we have some new details we wanted to share about our main Mad's digs! That's right - Kevin's back once again to show you just a little peek of what the crew has been working on, including Pearl Forrester's lab maquette. Enjoy!
For those of you who pre-ordered the Launch Crew shirts a while back, we have an update on that, too! Printing has commenced, and these shirts are now in production. We hope to have them in house and shipping out to you in about two weeks' time. Here is the back design of the very first shirt that was printed just this week:
Surveys coming soon-ish!
We do apologize for the delay here, but BackerKit surveys are still being worked on, and we hope to begin sending them in the near future. For those of you who have never backed a Kickstarter before, these are the surveys where we'll ask for the name you would like published on the Thank You Page and end credits, your shirt size and DVD format preference, etc.
The main goal is to make sure we get every detail right so that there are no surprises. We'll post a dedicated update for those as we start sending them.
